How to be a Healthier Ewhaian!



  These days, most women are interested in taking care of their bodies. This article is for Ewha womans university students who want to be healthier by accessing nearby exercise facilities and healthy restaurants. We introduce various fun exercise programs from outside facilities - not boring! These include Yoga Looks, King of Dance and Multi Gym. Knowing that diet is just as important as exercise, we also report on the healthy restaurants such as Saladu, Good memory of Tofu and Subway Sandwiches. Read this article and to improve your health!!

<Yoga Looks>



  Yoga Looks is located in the first basement level under King of Dance. It is famous forFlying Yoga which has various movements and gestures done while suspended by webbing slings in the air.
The advantage of Flying Yoga: yoga moves are made in the air, and there is no pressure to your spinal cord and back. It not only exercises the muscles but also develops your balance and corrects your posture. Moreover, Flying Yoga enhances your physical strength, flexibility and the circulation of the blood.

<King of Dance>


  How about learning how to dance this Winter vacation? It would be a fantastic experience for all of you! King of Dance near Ewha has classes for beginners. Students in the pre-professional division can take basic class. It includes jazz, hip pop, k-pop and contemporary dance. This class starts at 10:30, 15:30, 17:30, 19:30, 21:30 every day and takes an hour long. If you can’t keep up with the regular class, a teacher is available to help you after the class or when there are no classes scheduled, so don’t worry! Also, there are further classes for those who want to learn more about jazz and k-pop dance. Jazz dance class starts at 6:30 every Tuesday and Thursday and K-pop dance class starts at the same time every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Welcome everyone to the dance world!!

<Multi Gym>




  Let me introduce about the Fitness which is named Multi Gym Fitness Korea’. That facility provides many programs, such as weight training, PT training, GX programs (Yoga, Step box, Body pump, Tae-Bo, Power stretching, Dance), and Combat Martial Arts (Kali arnis, Savate, Krav Maga, Kickboxing, Self Defence) etc.
  This gym is basically for fitness and well-known for Krav Maga which is unfamiliar to you. The Krav Maga is a sport involving close combat techniques which originated in Israel and became famous in the movie Ajossi. Ewhaians can have fun exercising at the multi gym because it has many events designed for us. There is a schedule table and how we get there for Ewhaians who want to be healthy.

Healthy food outlets

<Saladu>



There is a healthy salad restaurant call Saladu. The most popular menu is the salad with homemade Ricotta cheese, pita, fresh tomatoes, chewy raisin, kernel of beans and tasty potato soup. The special menu options in this restaurant are the raw salmon salad, baked shrimp and roasted chicken. Many salads include fresh olives and onions. The restaurant also serves lemon water. If you want to to have a healthy, nutritionally balanced diet, don’t hesitate to visit Saladu !


<Good memory of Tofu>



  This is a well-being restaurant which located near the Ewha Women’s University. The main menu is ‘Tofu’ which is a Korean food made of beans. It has 3 benefits for our bodies.
It includes lots of protein like beef. So Koreans refer to tofu as ‘beef produced in the field’.
It is a low-calorie food which is only 84kcal per 100g. It contains saponin and lecithin which are good at removing fats, so it is good food for losing weight.
It has abundant calcium in the food which is effective in preventing osteoporosis

<Subway>



  One of the healthiest restaurants near by Ewha is Subway. Subway has a lot of menu choices but we will just recommend the best two sandwiches with low calories.
            
  First, Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki. This gourmet specialty is a flavorful blend of tender teriyaki glazed chicken strips and a fat-free sweet onion sauce. Served hot & toasted on freshly baked bread, with a taste so big, you won’t believe it has less than 6g of fat!

  Second, Veggie Delight. This is a very crispy, crunchy and classically delicious meal. The Veggie Delight is tangible proof that a sandwich can be high in flavor without being high in fat. Try a delicious combination of lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers and onions with your choice of fat-free condiments on freshly baked bread.
